On Tuesday, July 15, 2025 John "Jack" Snyder celebrated his 87th birthday and took his last breath.
Jack was born in 1938 to John and Velma (Jones) Snyder.
Jack owned and operated Pine Valley Lake Park as well as Lakeside Campground.
He was a past president and member of the Green Kiwanis club for over 10 years, a member of the Masonic Lodge of Canton and the former Green Moose Lodge.
If you knew Jack you knew that he loved spending time with his family, being out at the garage and mowing his lawn.
Jack is survived by his four kids, Debra Hogue, Diane Kucinick, Denise Smith (Brian Flynn) and son Robert Snyder; six grandchildren, Chris Hogue (Ashley Hogue), Matt Snyder, Luke Snyder, Joshua Kucinick, Austin Whitty, and Devon Whitty.  Two great-grandchildren, Jazmine Hogue and Grayson Hogue and one great-great-grandchild, Lainey Hamilton.
He was preceded in death by his wife Barbara of 60 years; sister, Drucilla Bishop; and granddaughter, Madison Kucinick.
Funeral service will be held on Friday, August 1, 2025 at 1 P.M. at Heitger Funeral Home - Jackson Chapel, 5850 Wales Ave. N.W., Massillon 44646.
Calling hours will be held prior to the service from 12 Noon to 1 P.M.
Burial to follow the service in Sunset Hills Burial Park, Canton.
