John Raymond Krantz, age 78, of Massillon, passed away Sunday, February 27, 2022 at Green Meadows following a short illness. He was born December 21, 1943, in Massillon, the son of the late Raymond and Margaret (Ries) Krantz. He was also preceded in death by a granddaughter, Maria Elena Luna. He was a veteran of the U.S. Navy. John is survived by three daughters, Marie Krantz, Karen Krantz and Michelle (Miguel) Luna; grandchildren, Emma, Gabriella, Alicia, Anthony, and Christopher; brother, Robert Krantz; sisters, Carol Spring and Rose Tondra, as well as nieces and Nephews. John loved antique radios, walking his beloved dog O'Reiley, and family gatherings. Memorial Service will be held on Friday, March 4, 2022 at 7 P.M. at Heitger Funeral Home - Jackson Chapel, 5580 Wales Ave. N.W., Massillon. Calling hours will be held prior to the service at the funeral home from 6 to 7 P.M. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Stark County Humane Society.
