IN LOVING MEMORY OF
John Louis
Lennon
July 6, 1945 – September 21, 2024
John Louis Lennon Beloved husband, father, family member, and friend. Born to Charles E. and Antionette (Tozzi) Lennon on July 6, 1945 in Canton. John is survived by his wife of 58 yrs, Nancy J. (Kurt)Lennon; his daughters Kathleen Madden (Neil) and Anne O'Neill (Brian); his grandchildren Brock and Monica O'Neill, brother Charles A. Lennon (Jane), and faithful companion and dog, Lucy. John graduated from Lincoln High School in 1963 (a member of the Alumni Association) and served in the Army and National Guard. He was the owner of Lennon Floors for 33 years and was a member of the Carpenter's Trade Union. As an avid Jackson High School sports fan, he attended 41 seasons of basketball and football games as well as other events alongside his wife. John is known for his great love and pride for his family, countless acts of kindness, strength, generosity, and robust humor. He was also one to make a friend wherever he would go. Prior to his recent illness, John maintained a lifetime of working out and exercise. He especially enjoyed years of membership at Powerhouse Gym (Canton) and the friendships that he cherished there - family would like to thank the support John received by those very special people. The family would also like to express thanks for the kind words and condolences received from all during this difficult time. Thank you to Summa Health Barberton Hospital ICU staff for excellent care and compassion.
In keeping with his wishes, cremation has taken place. Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, September 28, 2024, at 1 P.M at Heitger Funeral Home - Jackson Chapel, 5850 Wales Ave. N.W., Massillon. Family will also receive friends prior to the service at the funeral home from 11 A.M. to 1 P.M.
