John "Jack" Mahle, age 87 of Massillon, passed away on Tuesday, April
15, 2014 at Meadow Wind Health Care Center.  He was born April 30, 1926
in Wheeling, WV, son of the late John and Zita (Roth) Mahle.  He was a
veteran of WWII where he served in the U.S. Navy.  Jack retired from
Greif Board Corp. where he was traffic manager.  He was a member of St.
Mary Catholic Church, K of C Council 554 3rd Degree, VFW Post #3124 and
was an avid golfer.

Jack is survived by son James P. (Becky) Mahle of Vandalia, Ohio,
daughters Margaret M. (Gerald) Smith of Jackson Twp., Mary Jo (Nick)
Langenfeld of Dalton, Julie Ann (Dave) Forney of West Chester, Ohio
brothers Edward (Norma) Mahle of Farmington Hills, MI and Michael (Rebecca) Mahle of
Florida, eight grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife of 42
years, Rita (Dickinson) Mahle who died in 1994, one infant daughter and
one infant son.

Visitation will be held on SUNDAY, APRIL 27, 2014 from
5 to 8 P.M. at Heitger Funeral Home - Massillon Chapel, 639 First St.
N.E., Massillon, Ohio.  44646. K of C 3rd Degree service will begin at 5 P.M.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held on MONDAY, APRIL 28, 2014 at 10
A.M. at St. Mary Catholic Church with Rev. Edward Gretchko celebrant.
Burial will follow in Calvary Cemetery.
