Jonathon Lee Nidy, age 28, of Uniontown, loving son, brother, uncle, nephew, cousin, and friend was unexpectedly called home on February 11, 2017. He was born in Canton, Ohio on September 22, 1988.
Jonathon was preceded in death by his grandparents, Buddy and Helga Rowlands; and Aunt, Jacqueline Wannemacher. He is survived by his loving parents, Keith and Christine Nidy; siblings, Marc (Melissa) Lord, Erica (Chris) Rhodes, Shawn (Jenifer) Lord, Keith (Melinda) Nidy, Andrea (Merle) Fish, April (Spike) Ridgley, Nancy (Scott) Rogers, Matthew, Dakota, and Seth Nidy, Bradley Barshinger, and Jarod Antonia.
Jonathon graduated in 2010 from the Stark MRDD Southgate School and worked at REM Ohio. He participated in the Challenger Baseball League, Royal Knights Special Olympics, and the Arc Summer Program.
Jonathon took joy in the simple things in life: his family, tool shopping, watching game shows, Nascar, camping, swimming, Mickey Mouse, and listening to music. But most of all, Jonathon enjoyed spending time with his mother and father.
His family would like to extend a special thank you to all those who worked with Jonathon or touched his life.
A private family burial service will be held at Sunset Hills Memory Gardens. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Commercial and Savings Bank in North Canton at 1210 North Main Street in the name of Christine Nidy on behalf of Jonathon Nidy.
