Joseph D. Burton, age 79 of Mansfield, passed away on Thursday, February 11, 2016.

He was a veteran of the U.S. Navy and a member of Mansfield Amvets Post #26.

Joe retired from AVI Foodsystems.

He enjoyed traveling with friends and the love of his life Nancy, playing golf, fishing, playing guitar and singing.

Joe is survived by sons, Jeff (Cathy) Burton of Butler, Doug (Terri) Burton of CA, Steve (Carol) Burton of Massillon; daughters, Jennifer (Bobbie) Gamble of FL, Amy (Ricky) Jones of Canton; sister Betty Connell of Bellville; thirteen grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Nancy (Danals) Burton; his parents; four brothers; two sisters; and grandson, Joey Maddux.

The family will receive family and friends at the Amvets Post #26, 1100 W. Fourth St., Ontario, Ohio, 44906 on Wednesday, February 17, 2016 from 4 to 6 P.M.  Memorial celebration immediately following at same location.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. Jude's Children Hospital, 926 Danny Thomas Place, Memphis, TN   38105.
