Joseph G. Schiller, age 86 of Massillon, passed away Wednesday, February 10, 2021 at Amherst Meadows. He was born December 5, 1934, in Chicago, IL, son of the late Edward and Laura (Breehl) Schiller. Joseph was a proud member of plumbers and pipe fitters Canton Local Union #94 and retired in1997 after 25 years.  Following retirement, they enjoyed many years in Sun City, Arizona. He was a member of St. Barbara Catholic Church and had been an active volunteer at St. Barbara. Joseph is survived by his wife of 60 years, Kay Schiller; daughter, Laura (Dave) Zwick; sons, Jon (Heather) Schiller, Peter (Lisa) Schiller, and Matthew (Michelle) Schiller; thirteen grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; one niece and one nephew. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers, Edward , Paul and George Schiller; and sister, Helen Antol. Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Tuesday, February 16, 2021 at 11:30 A.M. at St. Barbara Catholic Church with Fr. Brian Cline celebrant. Calling hours will be held at the church prior to the Mass from 10 to 11:30 A.M. Burial will be private.
