Obituary

Karl Wuerminghausen, age 59, of Jackson Twp., passed away following a brief battle with cancer on Tuesday, May 7, 2024. He was born January 8, 1965, in Menden, Germany, the son of Karl O. Wuerminghausen of Germany, and the late Brunhilde Wuerminghausen. Karl was a project engineer working in the corrugated packaging industry.  He was passionate about his work and was currently working for Schwarz Partners.  He was well liked by his team. He was known for his kindness, reliability, willingness to help everyone, and his sense of humor. Most of all, he enjoyed spending time with his family.  He loved to travel, spending time in nature, indulging in different cultures, swimming, snorkeling (any water activity), hiking, reading and a really good cup of coffee.  He adored animals including the family horse, Zapo, and his bunny, Freddie. He was a volunteer at the local horse rescue. Karl is survived by his loving wife of 23 years, Anja; daughters, Kim Kotitschke and Nadja Kotitschke. He will be deeply missed. He was preceded in death by his mother, Brunhilde. The family will have a celebration of life at a later date. In his memory, donations may be made to his favorite bunny rescue, F5RS Rabbit Rescue & Sanctuary, or the local rescue Copper Horse Crusade (addresses below).
