Katherine M. Heckaman, 61, of Massillon passed away September 7, 2012 at her residence after a long courageous fight with cancer.

She was born December 12, 1950 in Akron, where she resided until moving to Massillon in 1971.

Kathy's love for flowers lead to her own business and a private oasis in the backyard of her home.

She is survived by long time companion, Scott Willaman; son Scott Heckaman; three grandchildren, Sam, Olivia, and Makenzee; two brothers, John and Ray Szwejk.

A private memorial service will be held by the family.
