Kelly A. Kemp, age 56, of Massillon unexpectedly passed Saturday, May 16th. She was born to Gary and Cheryl (Shamp) Oakleaf of Canton Ohio.

Kelly was a loving mother, grandmother, and compassionate soul whose life was dedicated to helping others. She touched countless lives through her kindness, generosity, and unwavering love for her family and community.

Kelly earned her Master’s Degree in English, a reflection of both her intelligence and her passion for learning. She spent much of her life uplifting those around her and working toward meaningful change. One of her greatest passions was her nonprofit organization, Wyngs, which she devoted herself to in honor of her late husband.

She is survived by her children Justice Kemp (Kamarin), Rosea Kemp, and Angelica Kemp. Her three beautiful grandchildren Aurelius, Avery, and Willow. Her parents, brother, Steven (Jackie) Oakleaf and sister, Brenda (John) Sliman and numerous nieces and nephews

Kelly was preceded in death by her husband, Scott E. Kemp, and her infant son, Andrew Kemp.

Though her passing leaves an immeasurable void, her legacy of compassion, service, and love will continue to live on through the many lives she touched. She will be deeply missed and forever remembered. 

A memorial service will be held on Friday, May 29, 2026 at Heitger Funeral Home - Jackson Chapel, 5850 Wales Ave NW at 12:00 pm with Rev. Nick Nicholson officiating. The family will receive friends two hours prior to the service at the funeral home from 10:00 am to 12:00 pm.
