Kristine Kay (Dale) Hoffman, 66, of Akron, passed away at Akron City Hospital on Wednesday, May 19 at 5:55pm, following irreversible complications from a stroke.

Kris was born on Christmas day, 1954, at Massillon City Hospital to John and Georgia Dale.

She was a graduate of Tuslaw High School and the University of Akron and was a teacher for over 30 years, retiring from St. Peter and Paul School in Doylestown. Additionally, she was affiliated with the Chapel in Green where she sometimes helped with special needs classes on Sundays.

Kris was full of adventure; she enjoyed travelling, hiking, and riding motorcycles, pontoons, and golf carts. She also loved tending to her flowers, dancing, listening to a variety of music, and relaxing with a glass of wine. Kris was also an avid reader. As an educator, she read a lot of history and English textbooks; however, in her retirement, she enjoyed Christian literature and love stories.

Above all, she truly loved to have fun and spend quality time with family and friends. She will be deeply missed and never forgotten.

Kristine is survived by her husband of 44 years, Joseph A. Hoffman, II; son, Joseph A. Hoffman, III; daughter, Rachael Hoffman; mother, Georgia (Howell) Dale; brother, Ron (Marge) Dale; sister, Jacquie (Don) Douglas; brother, John Dale; and numerous extended family and friends who loved her dearly. She was preceded in death by her father, John Dale.

Calling Hours to be held at Heitger Funeral Services (Jackson Chapel), 5850 Wales Avenue NW, Massillon, Ohio 44646, Monday, May 24, 2021 from 4PM to 8PM.

Friends and family may gather at The Chapel in Green, 1800 Raber Road, Green, Ohio 44685 on Tuesday, May 25, 2021 beginning at 11 A.M. with funeral services from Noon to 1 :00 PM. Please use east entrance at Door "D".  (Services will be streamed live on Heitger Funeral Home facebook page).

Her final resting place will be at St. Joseph Cemetery in Massillon at a later date.
