Larry Dean Nelson, of Massillon age 75, died Wednesday, August 13, 2014 at Aultman Hospital following a battle with cancer.

He was born February 11, 1939, Springfield, MO, the son of the late Donald and Evalena (Tuter) Nelson.

He was a veteran of the Army serving in Germany.

Larry retired from MCA Sign Company after 32 years of service.
Larry is known by all as a peacemaker and lived by the motto of "Keep it Simple."

Larry is survived by sons, Dean (Wendy) and Donald Nelson, daughter, Tina (Atlee) Weaver, stepdaughters, Tonya McCarty, Missy Leapline; brother, Leon (Lillian) Nelson; sisters, Donna (Harold) Combs and Sandy (Stan) Turner; 14 grandchildren; six great-grandchildren.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his wife, Carol Nelson (4-13-2014).

Visitation will be held Friday, August 15 from 5:00 PM to 6:00 PM at Heitger Funeral Service Massillon Chapel.

Memorial Service will be held on Friday, August 15, 2014 at Heitger Funeral Service, 639 First St NE, at 6PM.

Burial at Brookfield Cemetery will be at 11 AM on Saturday August 16, 2014.
