Laurie Cristia, age 59 of Massillon, passed away Saturday, June 19, 2021 at her home.

She was born May 22, 1962, in Massillon the daughter of Robert P. and Elaine (Heather) Boak.

Laurie was a painter and wallpaperer, hairdresser, and had also been a coordinator at HomeGoods.

She was a member of St. Barbara Catholic Church.  She enjoyed riding motorcycles, arts and crafts, sewing, fishing, and flower gardening.

Laurie is survived by husband, Dave Cristia; four sons, Ryan (Heather) Serban, Kelyn Serban, Kyle Serban, Josh Serban; step daughter, Tina (Gregory) Hockensmith; granddaughter, Magnolia; step grandchildren, Nathan, Megan, and Andrew; siblings, Robert (Jana) Boak, Richard (Jean) Boak, Sharon Howman, Cynthia (Timothy) Smith, Jeanette (Steve) Troyer, Julie (Rick) Byer, Mary Jo Madzia and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

Calling hours will be held on Thursday, June 24, 2021 at Heitger Funeral Home - Jackson Chapel, 5850 Wales Ave NW, Massillon, from 5pm to 7pm.

A short prayer service to follow at Heitger Funeral Home at 7 pm.
