Obituary

Larry J. Lapikas, age 80, of Massillon, passed away peacefully on Sunday, March 9, 2025.
He was born August 13, 1944, in Massillon, the son of  the late Rudolph and Clotilda (Gresser) Lapikas.
Lawrence retired from Canton Post Office after 25 years as a letter carrier.  He was a volunteer for Meals on Wheels.
He was a member of Divine Mercy Parish - St. Mary Catholic Church.  He enjoyed bowling, fishing, NASCAR, Blue Grass Festivals, and golfing.
Larry enjoyed spending time with his family and is survived by sister, Marilyn J. (Mike) Garrett; brothers, Paul Lapikas and Richard (Kathy) Lapikas; nieces, Melinda Garrett, Andrea (Bob) Thrower, Michaela Jenkins,; nephews, Landon Thrower, Mark Lapikas, Steven Lapikas, Paul Lapikas Jr., and life long friend Tom Kracker.
Calling hours will be held Saturday, March 15, 2025 from 9:45 to10:45am at Heitger Funeral Home-Massillon Chapel. Memorial Mass will follow at 11am at Divine Mercy Parish-St. Mary Campus.
Burial to follow the service at St. Mary Cemetery in Massillon.
