Lawrence R. Schwind, age 76 of Massillon, passed away peacefully on Saturday, March 26, 2022 with his family by his side. He was born April 10, 1945, Perrysburg, Ohio, son of the late Lawrence and Letty Schwind. Larry was a veteran of the Navy and served during the Vietnam Era. He was a pharmacist and retired in 2010. He was an avid baseball fan and enjoyed watching his kids play sports. Larry is survived by his children, Joseph Schwind (Ariana Howe), Julie (Meghan) Schwind, Andrew (Sarah) Schwind and Sarah (Kristin) Schwind; brother, Rick (Gail) Schwind; sisters, Linda (Fred) Wheatley and Debi (Tim) Iagulli; the mother of his children, Christy Foster, grandchildren, Nolan and Scarlett and a future grandson. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Patti Baumgartner. Visitation will be held on Friday, April 1, 2022 from 5 P.M. to 7 P.M. at Heitger Funeral Home - Jackson Chapel, 5850 Wales Ave. N.W., Massillon.
