Leona M. Corban, age 93, of Massillon, passed away Sunday, August 31, 2025 surrounded by her family and friends. She was born May 4, 1932, in  Gilmer County, WV, the daughter of the late Rester and Lourah (Marks) Lynch. Leona retired from the State of Ohio where she had worked for the unemployment office for many years. She was a member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church, and St. Thomas Lutheran Church in Streetsboro.  She volunteered with quilting at St. Paul's and volunteered at Massillon Community Hospital. She loved crossword puzzles, jigsaw puzzles, bingo, and reading. Leona is survived by sons Bryan (Kathleen) Corban of Carrollton, Scott Corban of Massillon, Thomas (Sherri) Corban of Lima, daughters Marla (Steve) Manijak of Streetsboro, Suzanne (Mike) Latham of St. Leonard, MD; twin brother, Arthur (Alice) Lynch; seven grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her devoted husband of 59 years, Donald Corban. Visitation will be held on Friday, September 5, 2025 from 6 to 8 P.M. at Heitger Funeral Home - MASSILLON CHAPEL. Funeral service will be held on Saturday, September 6, 2025 at 10 A.M. at St. Paul Lutheran Church, 127 Cherry Rd N.E., Massillon with Pastors Mark Kreemer and Blake Martzowka  officiating.  There will be visitation at the church, prior to the service, from 9 A.M. to 9:45 A.M. Burial to follow the service at Sunset Hills Burial Park. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to either St. Paul's Lutheran or St. Thomas Lutheran Church.
