Linda Marie (Nussbaumer) Allen was called home to our Lord and Savior, whom she dearly loved, on February 21, 2026. Linda was born in Massillon, Ohio on New Year’s Day, 1948, to Bernard J. and Mary C. (Boerner) Nussbaumer. She is now reunited with her parents, sisters Helen F. Wagner, Mary C. Chambers (Max), Shirlie A. Dixon (Dick), brother Joseph B. Nussbaumer (Jean), and several nieces and nephews.
Linda attended grade school at St. Barbara Catholic Church (Massillon) and graduated from Central Catholic (Canton) High School. After graduation, she worked as a secretary and salesclerk for businesses in the Massillon area. She also worked as a travel agent for a travel agency in Canton. When she was young Linda aspired to be a flight attendant as she has always liked to travel. Linda then made a major career change and devoted her life to taking care of her husband and three children.
Linda is survived by her husband of 50 years, Stephen F. Allen; daughters, Mary Allen-Burkett (Brian) and Amanda H. Allen (Jeremy Thurman); son, Stephen B. G. Allen; grandchildren, Noah Clark and Maddy Burkett, Gabe and Parker Thurman, all from the local area, and many nieces and nephews.
Her family loves her dearly, and everyone who knew her loved her as well.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday, February 28, 2026 at 11 A.M. at Queen of Heaven Parish, 1800 Steese Road, Green, Ohio, 44685, with Fr. David Durkee celebrant. Visitation will be held at the church prior to the mass from 10 A.M. to 11 A.M.
Her final place of rest will be Calvary Cemetery, Massillon.
In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to National Multiple Sclerosis Society.
