Linda Kay McMerrell, age 76, of Massillon, passed away Thursday, November 14, 2024 at Aultman Compassionate Care Center. She was born May 15, 1948, in Massillon the daughter of the late Elwin and Kathleen (Pettibon) Mauger. Linda was a legal secretary and retired from Tuslaw Locals where she was a school cook. She attended Grace United Church of Christ. Linda enjoyed watching the Cleveland Indians.  She loved baking and cooking for her family and friends, and spending time with her family. Linda is survived by her husband of 55 years, Chad McMerrell; sons and daughters-in-law, Richard (Erin) McMerrell and Mark (Nora) McMerrell; brothers, Jack (Dorothy) Mauger, Don (Carol) Mauger, and Alan (Marcine) Mauger; grandchildren, Molly (Zach McCormick), Katie, Max, Patrick, Anne, and Mary. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sister, Janet. Private services will be held at the convenience of the family.
