Lorraine M. Kohlmeier, age 87, formerly of Navarre, passed away on June 15, 2014 in Ft. Myers, FL.

She was born in Denver, CO, daughter of the late Edward M. and Martina (Karcher) Kraus.

She was a former member of St. Therese Catholic Church and St. Mary's Catholic Church and a current member of Our Lady of Light, Ft. Myers, FL.

She was also a member of the Democratic Club of Bonita Springs and while living in Ohio was very active in the Democratic Party.

Lorraine is survived by her husband of 68 years, Robert J. Kohlmeier of Ft. Myers, daughters Ginny Kohlmeier of Canton,  Lori Sampsel of Seville, Martha Graber of Dalton, Jackie Selinsky of Massillon, Tina Skinner of  Victor, Montana, Jane Graber of Grafton, Ohio, sons Robert J. Kohlmeier II of Alva, FL, John Kohlmeier of Cleveland, GA, Steve Kohlmeier of Cape Coral, FL, brother Ambrose Kraus of Nevada, sister Christina Bucher of Brewster, Joan Brewer of Salinesville,Ohio, Nedra Wagner of Waynesburg, Ohio, twenty-two grandchildren and twenty-one great-grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by daughters Linda Kohlmeier, Kathleen Miller and Dorothy Sandmeyer, grandson  Dustin Skinner, two brothers and two sisters.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, June 19, 2014 from 6 to 8 P.M. At Heitger Funeral Home – Massillon Chapel.

Mass of Christian burial will be held on Friday, June 20, 2014 at 1:30 P.M. At St. Mary Catholic Church with Rev. John Tully celebrant.  Burial will follow at Calvary Cemetery in Massillon.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Holy Family Parish – St. Therese Brewster Campus, 456 Wabash Av, Brewster, Ohio, 44613.
