Lucy E. Hoffman, age 87 of Massillon, passed away on Monday, April 14, 2014 following a brief illness.

She was born Sept. 19, 1926 and was daughter of the late George and Victoria (Marginean) Maier.

Lucy was the credit manager for W. T. Grant Company for 15 years, had worked with air communication at Wright Patterson Airforce Base during WWII and worked for Stark County Board of Elections. She attended St. Mary and St. Barbara Catholic Churches and belonged to Altar Rosary. Lucy was past president of Newman PTA, enjoyed bowling, card clubs, volleyball with Massillon Rec. Dept. and spending time with her family and grandchildren.

She is survived by her sons, Kenneth (Cathy) Hoffman and Keith (Angie) Hoffman all of Massillon; daughters' Karen (Tom) Murray of N. Lawrence and Cindy (Greg) Endres of Jackson Twp.; fourteen grandchildren; fourteen great-grandchildren; and one great-great-granddaughter.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 52 years' Kenneth G. Hoffman who died Nov. 1, 1998; daughter, Georgette Tonn Franks who died in 2009; two brothers; three sisters; and one great-grandson.

Visitation will be held on Sunday, April 20, 2014 from 5 to 8 P.M. at Heitger Funeral Home - Massillon Chapel, 639 First St. N.E., Massillon, Ohio 44646.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Monday, April 21, 2014 at 10 A.M. at St. Mary Catholic Church with Rev. Edward Gretchko celebrant.

Burial will follow at Rose Hill Memorial Park.
