Melva “Carol” Bartow, age 73, of Massillon, passed away on October 16, 2026, following a brief illness.

She was born on March 11, 1953, in Ravenna, Ohio and was the daughter of the late Melvin and Ina (Roth) Robinson.

Carol attended Kent Roosevelt High School, Class of 1971.

She enjoyed gardening, playing guitar, and singing. Above all, she enjoyed spending time with her family.

She was a professional ballroom dance instructor with Fred Astaire Dance Studio on Fulton Road in Canton. She designed and tailored her own dance ball gowns and had won several competition trophies.

Carol is survived by her husband of 55 years, Clyde W. Bartow of Massillon, son and daughter-in-law; Dan and Karissa (Miller) Bartow of North Canton, daughter; Melina Bartow and her significant other, Nathan Rex of Canton, grandchildren; Ethan, Evan and Logan Bartow.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, October 22, 2026 from 6 to 8 P.M. at Heitger Funeral Home - MASSILLON CHAPEL, 639 - First St. N.E., Massillon.

Graveside service will be held on Friday, October 23, 2026, at 11 A.M. at Standing Rock Cemetery, Kent, Ohio.
