Marie Elizabeth Engelman, age 84, of Massillon passed away on Monday, March 26, 2012 at Rose Lane Heath Center.

She was born in Canton on May 10, 1927, and graduated from Timken High School.

Marie was preceded in death by her loving husband Richard P. Engelman, her beloved Aunt Katherine and Uncle Bert Valentine who raised her, her mother Elizabeth (Weiskircher) Kiko, her father Casper Kiko, and two brothers Donnie and Russ Kiko.

She and her late husband Richard owned and operated the Kendal Tavern for 15 years. Marie was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church. She volunteered at the Massillon Museum and was a poll worker during elections. Marie enjoyed spending time with her many lifelong friends traveling, playing cards and doing water aerobics.

She is survived by five daughters Pamela K. (Robert) Warren, Lynn (James) Mayer and Kay L. Meyer all of North Canton, Gail K. (Tom) Moeller of Mesa AZ and Jan M. Engelman of Massillon, four grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.

Calling hours will be held Thursday, March 29, 2012, from 5 to 7 P.M. at Heitger Funeral Home - Jackson Chapel, 5850 Wales Ave NW.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held Friday, March 30, 2012, at 10 A.M. at St Mary's Catholic Church.

Burial at Rose Hill Memorial Gardens.
