Obituary

Marilyn "Marny" Bowersox Rastetter-Boerner, age 91 of Massillon, passed away Friday, December 30, 2016 at Affinity Medical Center following a brief illness.
She was born December 29, 1925, in Kalamazoo the daughter of  the late John and Edna Bowersox.
Marny was a LPN and retired from Salinas Valley Memorial Hospital in 1990.
Marilyn Joan Boerner is survived by sons, David (Pat) Rastetter and Greg Rastetter; daughter, Jill (Loren) Miller; nine grandchildren; and numerous great-grandchildren; and great-great grandchildren; step-children, Robert, Mary Alice, Cathy, Patty, Rick, and Stan Boerner; and numerous step grandchildren; and step great-grandchildren.  The family would like to extend their thanks to Julie and Jeff Richmond for all their help and care over the past years.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by  her first husband, Donald (Don) Rastetter; her second husband, Richard (Dick) Boerner; daughter, Lynn Davis; sister, Barbara Blaumeiser; and brother, Dale Bowersox.
There will be no calling hours.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Mary's Catholic Church on Tuesday, January 3, 2017 at 10 A.M. with Rev. Edward Gretchko celebrant.
Burial to follow the service at Rose Hill Memorial Gardens in Massillon.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made to American Cancer Society or Catholic Charities.
