Mary Jo Gilbert, age 76, of The Villages, Florida and formerly of Jackson Twp, died Monday, November 7, 2011.

She was born May 5, 1935, in Canton, and was the daughter of the late Ivan and Elizabeth (Hartsock) Kennedy. She was a former member of St. Mary's Catholic Church.

Mary Jo is survived by her husband of 55 years, Fred Gilbert of The Villages, FL, daughters, Cindee David of Bridgeport, WV and Elizabeth Ann Knotts of Madison, TN, ; grandchildren Patrick David of Mentor, and Jonathon and Ryan David both of Bridgeport, WV. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her twin sister Mary Elizabeth Motter.

A memorial mass will be held on Monday, December 5, 2011 at St. Mary Catholic Church at 10 AM with Rev. Ed Gretchko celebrant. Inurnment will follow at Rose Hill Memorial Park.
