Matthew L. "Coach Matt" Sanderson, 38 of Jackson Twp. passed away Wednesday, October 15, 2014 at the Cleveland Clinic.
He was born on July 16, 1976.

He was a life resident of the area.  He was an avid sports fan, especially for any that his children participated in. For the last ten years he took pride in coaching for his son's baseball team and his daughter's softball team.  Matt had a great sense of humor and was the life of the party.

Matt is survived by his wife, Stephanie (Tyson) Sanderson, children, Clayton Sanderson of Mineral City; Nicole Sanderson, Tristan Sanderson of the home; mother, Rhonda (Sanderson) Barkheimer; brother, Scott Schaffran, maternal grandparents, Glenn and Marjorie Sanderson; aunt Sonja "Nana" (Wayne) Moser, and also aunts Heidi, Connie, and uncle Steve.

He was preceded in death by his cousin, Nichole Moser.

Funeral services will be held Monday, October 20, 2014 at Heitger Funeral Home – Jackson Chapel 5850 Wales Ave NW at 7pm.
Visitation will be held from 4pm-7pm prior to the service.
