Maxine Furney, age 94, formerly of Massillon, passed away Wednesday, August 1, 2018.
She was born July 22, 1924, in Cambridge the daughter of  the late Russell and Gladys (Brown) Tyson.
Maxine  retired from Bordner's IGA at Amherst where she was store manager.
She is survived by daughter & son-in-law, Cheryl and Gerald Bruni; Daughter, Sandra Kay Cocklin; seven grandchildren  and 11 great-grandchildren .
She was preceded in death by her husband, William Furney who died in 1980 and her brother, William Tyson.
Graveside service will be held on Thursday, August 9, 2018 at 11 AM at Rose Hill Memorial Gardens in Massillon.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made to any Hospice program of your choice or American Cancer Society.
