IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Maxine Rose
(Hamilton) Hoot
August 21, 1932 – May 6, 2017
Maxine Rose (Hamilton) Hoot, 84, devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother passed away peacefully with her loved ones in her heart on Saturday, May 6, 2017.
Beloved wife of Harold J. Hoot, whom she married on May 14, 1955, loving mother of Sandy (Tim) Himebaugh of North Canton, and sons David, Paul, Patrick and Timothy of Canton. Adored grandmother of Amanda (Luke) Dalpiaz of Louisville, Erika Hoot and Brianna Hoot of Canton, Jesse (Ami) Himebaugh of North Canton, and adorning Great Grandmother of sons Diesel Himebaugh and Dominic Dalpiaz, as well as many other relatives and friends. She is preceded in death by her daughter Karen Louise Hoot, parents Herbert Price and Goldie (Sowards) Hamilton, brother Herbert Ronald Hamilton, and sister Naomi Ruth Border. Always close to where she grew up, Maxine was born in Joseph Mills, West Virginia, on August 21, 1932, the daughter of the late Herbert Price and Goldie Hamilton. She graduated from Tyler County High School in 1950, afterwards moving to Canton, where she worked at the Timken Roller Bearing Company until 1956, soon after meeting her future husband at a YMCA dance, and later beginning her life as a homemaker to her five children. With a heart of gold, she lived for her lord, so proud of her family, and always looking after everyone. She enjoyed her home, reading, and tending to her flowers. Harold and Maxine are founding members of St. Michael the Archangel Church. While we miss her forevermore, she will continue to live on in the love and memories she shared with us all.
