Maxine M. Tresino, age 89 of Massillon, went home to be with the Lord on Saturday, April 16, 2011.

She was born on April 14, 1922 in Tunnelton, WV, daughter of the late David and Elma (Metheny) Chedester. She was also preceded in death by a sister Dorothy Chedester.

Maxine was an LPN that provided several years of compassionate care to patients and families. She was a member of DAV Aux.

Maxine is survived by her husband of 58 years, Nick Tresino of Massillon, son Robert (Helen) Tresino of Navarre, daughters Patricia (Angelo) Silla of Massillon and Laura Pukus of Conn., sisters Helen Castle of Tunnelton, WV, Mary Drury of Dover, PA, Opal Sperandio of Morgantown, WV, seven grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

Funeral service will be held on Thursday, April 21, 2011 at 11 A.M. at HEITGER FUNERAL SERVICE - MASSILLON CHAPEL wtih Rev. Leslie Peine officiating. Entombment will follow at Calvary Mausoleum.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday from 6 to 8 P.M. at the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to VNS Hospice, 3358 Ridgewood Rd., Akron, Ohio.
