Melva L. Rohn, age 80, of Massillon, died Thursday, February 2, 2012 at Affinity Medical Center.

She was born April 7, 1931 in Tippecanoe, Ohio, the daughter of the late Byron and Julia (Bell) Hicks.

Melva retired from the former Massillon State Hospital where she had worked for 28 years as an activity therapist.

She is survived by two sons and daughters-in-law; Richard (Rocky) and Debbie Rohn Jr. of Massillon and Thomas and Bev Rohn of Brewster, daughter and son-in-law Jackie and Joel Moore of Massillon, six grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her sister Jean Schaar and brother Donald Hicks.

Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, February 4, 2012 at Heitger Funeral Service - Massillon Chapel at 1:00 PM. with Rev. Elaina Styblo officiating. Visitation will be held from Noon to 1 P.M. prior to the service.
