Michael P. Darrah, age 70 of Canton passed away on Monday, October 7, 2013.

He was President and CEO of the former Buckeye Sports Supply and continued the tradition of supplying every Stark County 5th grader with a rod and reel. He was a 1962 graduate of Central Catholic High School and a member of St. Michael Catholic Church where he continued to be an active supporter. Michael also belonged to the Hall of Fame Luncheon Club.

He enjoyed cooking and sharing laughs with his family and friends.

Michael is survived by his wife of 44 years, Bonnie (Seifert) Darrah of Canton, daughters Lori Darrah (Marty) Jones of San Francisco, CA, Lizabeth Darrah of Hilliard, Ohio, Lynn (Mike) Wackerly of Gahanna, Ohio, sisters Doris (Robert) Ault and Jane (Robert) Bourquin all of Massillon, grandchildren Tommy and Collette Jones and Paige Wackerly.

He was preceded in death by his mother Laura (Sherban) Darrah, brother George and sister Donna.

The family would like to thank Dr. Drake, Dr. Seibert, and his dear friend Joe Cusma for his loyalty and friendship.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday, October 12, 2013 at 10 A.M. at St. Michael Catholic Church in Canton with Revs. Donald King and Robert Kaylor celebrants.

Visitation will be held on Friday, Oct 11, 2013 from 5 to 8 P.M. at Heitger Funeral Home - Jackson Chapel, 5850 Wales Ave. N.W., Massillon.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to either Myasthenia Gravis Foundation, St. Michael Catholic Church or Canton Central Catholic High School.
