Michael "Mickey" Stachel of Jackson Twp died peacefully at the age of 28 on Sunday August 19, 2012 at his parents' home surrounded by his loving family.

He is survived by his parents Dr. Mark and Luisa (Gomez) Stachel of Lake Mohawk; sister Anna Stachel of New York City; aunts and uncles Dr. David Stachel of Canton, Suzanne Stachel of Medina, Rose (Ed) Gibson of Lorain; cousins Heather Gibson of Lorain, Chad Wargo of Lorain, Gregory Stachel of Canton and Madeline Stachel of Canton; and many other loving family members and friends.

Mickey attended Jackson High School and graduated from Miami University of Ohio with a degree in Accountancy and Decision Sciences. He also received a Master's degree in Taxation from the University of Akron. He was a CPA who worked for the accounting firm of Hall, Kistler & Co. LLP.

In addition to his passion for his career, he enjoyed playing guitar and ukulele, golfing and watching Cleveland sports.

He fought a courageous two year-long battle with sarcoma and still maintained his humor, generosity and caring nature. Those of us fortunate enough to have known him will remember his laughter, kindness and most of all his love.

A celebration of life memorial service will be held on Saturday, August 25, 2012 at 11am at the Church of the Lakes UMC 5944 Fulton Dr NW Canton Ohio 44718.

Family and friends may call at the church from 9 to 11 am prior to the service.
