Norma (née Koliski) Visco, age 85, of Canton, formerly of North Patchogue, NY, passed away peacefully on the evening of Tuesday, May 13, 2025, at The Pavilion at Canal Fulton, Ohio.

Born on June 26, 1939, in New York City, Norma was the beloved daughter of the late John and Celia (Hagler) Koliski. With a natural aptitude for mathematics, she dedicated much of her career to bookkeeping before retiring. In her later years, she found immense joy in moving in with her eldest son to help care for his children—Samantha, Travis, and Alex—a role she embraced wholeheartedly.

Beyond her sharp mind, Norma had a creative spirit, expressing herself through knitting, crocheting, and needlepoint. She lovingly crafted sweaters and blankets for her family and took great pride in her holiday traditions, delighting in baking spritz cookies, boasting about her cooking skills, and wrapping gifts with her signature style.

She cherished her Siamese cat, Lucky, and found joy in playing board games with her grandchildren, cards with neighbors, and competitive games of chance.

Norma is survived by her four children: Mickey (Marcia) Visco, Jodi Visco (Joseph Guglielmo), Donald (Tracey) Visco, and Melanie (Sean) McMullin; her former husband, Donald Visco; and her eleven grandchildren, who lovingly called her "Mema"—Samantha, Mary, Travis, Ethan, Matthew, Margaret, Jane, Lucy, Kate, Alex, and Coleman. She is also survived by her sisters, Susan Alessi and Harriet Notarnicola. She was preceded in death by her sister, Marilyn Villante.

She was a devoted member of St. Paul's Parish in North Canton, Ohio.

The family wishes to express their sincere gratitude to the nurses and caregivers for their compassionate care and support during Norma's three years at The Pavilion at Canal Fulton.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, May 17, 2025, at 12 noon at Heitger Funeral Home - JACKSON CHAPEL. Friends and family may call beginning at 11 a.m. until the time of service.
