Omeda "Toot" E. Welsh, age 76 of Massillon passed away on Saturday, March 5, 2016 surrounded by her loving family.

She was born May 27, 1939 in Cambridge, daughter of the late Vernita (Davidson) and Albert Hedges.

She was a 1957 graduate of Washington High School and a proud member of the Tiger Swingband.

Toot worked as a register nurse for the former Massillon City Hospital and retired from Fresenius Dialysis.

She is a member of Freedom Baptist Fellowship in Brewster.

Toot is survived by her husband of 56 years  Danny H. Welsh of Massillon, daughters Jill (Greg) Farmer of Knoxville, TN, and Jennifer (David) Fischer of Massillon, sister Bonnie Ammond of Massillon, sister-in-law June Sifers of Reno, grandchildren, Tate, Ellen and Sam Johnson and Molly and Libby Fischer.

Toot's funeral service will be held on Thursday, March 10, 2016 at 1 P.M. at Freedom Baptist Fellowship, 301 South Wabash Ave, Brewster, Ohio  44613.  Visitation will be from Noon to 1 P.M. at the church prior to the service.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Freedom Baptist Fellowship.
