Patricia Ann Chalfant, age 76, died Sunday, May 12, 2013 at Aultman Compassionate Care Center.

She was born May 15, 1936 in Massillon, the daughter of the late Clarence and Arlene (Krisher) Wenzel.

Patricia is survived by her loving husband, Thomas Chalfant; sons, Timothy Chalfant, Brian Chalfant, Matthew (Theresa) Chalfant; granddaughter Sydney Chalfant, brother, Richard (Esther) Wenzel of Massillon.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brothers, Jim Wenzel, William Wenzel ; sisters, Jean Dort, and M. Winifred Wenzel.

A lifelong member of the Massillon area, she graduated from Washington High School in 1954. In 1959 she married Thomas and started her career as a wife, mother and homemaker. As a member of Holy Family Parish in Navarre, she donated many hours of her time in the school cafeteria (St. Clements) and during parish festivals. Pat also helped raise several children from her extended family, The Gaylors.

Visitation will be held Thursday, May 16 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Heitger Funeral Service - Massillon Chapel.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday, May 17, 2013 at Holy Family Parish, 216 Wooster St., Navarre at 10:00 AM with Rev. Mike Seifert celebrant. Burial at Calvary Cemetery in Massillon.
