Patricia Ann West went to be with the Lord on March 17, 2026 after a long-term illness. She had been a resident at Hennis Care Center in Bolivar for the past year.
Patricia was born on November 5, 1941 in Canton, to the late Youry and Verda Jones. She grew up in Fairhope (Louisville) area where she attended school and graduated in 1959 from Louisville High School. In 1962 Patricia married her high school sweetheart the Late Ronald H. West. She was married for 43 years until Ronald’s sudden death in 2005.
She worked as a secretary and was retired from the Stark County Board of Education. Patricia resided in Perry Township for 43 years before moving to Jackson Township for 12 years.
Patricia was member of the Trinity United Methodist Church in Perry Heights for 58 years. She was an active member of the church choir and enjoyed serving on many church committees through the years. She especially enjoyed her friends in the Seeker’s Sunday School class where members worked on numerous service projects and went on class trips. Patricia enjoyed raising flowers and plants at her home and was especially fond of her little dog, Bailey. She enjoyed going to sporting and school events to watch her two Grandsons.
Besides her parents and husband, Patricia was preceded in death by father and mother-in-law, Henry and Helen West; grandson, Matthew T. West; Brothers-in-law, John “Jack” Berkebile and Samuel Lawton.
Patricia is survived by two sons, Kevin (Vicki) West and Bryan C. West; sister, Linda Berkebile; sister-in-law, Shirley Lawton; two grandsons, Tyler (Bailey) West and Hayden (Michela) West; two great grandsons, Reid and Bennett West.
Funeral service will be held on March 28, 2026 at Trinity United Methodist Church, 3757 Lincoln Way E, Massillon at 11AM with Rev. Tina Siroki officiating.
Calling hours will be held an hour prior at the church from 10 AM to 11 AM.
Burial to follow the service at Sunset Hills Burial Park in Canton.
