Patricia L. Wood, passed Sunday, October 20, 2013 at age 73 with dementia and breast cancer which she fought with courage and dignity, till the Lord said it was her time.
She worked at Santa Paula, CA Hopsital as a nurses aid in OB caring for infants.
After becoming disabled she moved back to Massillon to be close to family and friends.
Pat was a nice person to be around she would help others and would do what she could to make someones life a little better.
People would say she was such a nice person and she really was, no doubt. Two of her favorite things were to cook and to keep a clean house.
Pat sure could cook a meal. While living in Massillon, she liked playing cards with her sons, Chad, and Uncle Oscar.
Pat was a devoted Browns, Indians, Cavs, and the Massillon Tigers fan, she would always be routing them on.
For fun she loved to go to Vegas, Laughlin, NV, and the Mountaineer.
Before and after her illness she liked to go to bingo, laugh and joke with her Bingo friends.
Pat was a down to Earth great person, who loved her sons and grandkids with all her heart.
We will miss you and love you forever your soulmate, Chad, and your entire family and friends.
The good Lord will take care of you now.
Psalm 18
I will love thee, O Lord, my strength, The Lord is my rock, and my fortress and my deliverer, My God, my strength, in whom I trust my shield and the horn of my salvation, and my high tower. I will call you the Lord who is worthy to be praised so I will be saved from mine enemies.
She was preceded in death by parents, Cornell and Alma Sulin; daughter, Tamara Porter; brothers, Russ and Ed Sulin; great-grandchild, Lil Pito.
Patricia is survived by her soulmate, Chad Latham, four sons, Russell (Tanya) Hayes of Lisbon, Tom (Lisa) Porter of Massillon, Tim (Jill) Porter of Clinton, and Patrick (Allison) Porter of Massillon; brother, Mike Sulin of Emory, TX; 10 grandchildren; and 6 great-grandchildren.
The family would like to thank Chris, Heidi, and Patty from Community Hospice for their love and care. Her bingo friends for their respect and compassion during her illness. We would like to thank Mary Lou and Jim, her neighbors for having their door open in her time of need. May God bless you for all of your compassion.
As per her wishes no public services will be held.
