Paul E. Tennis, age 88 of Jackson Township, passed away unexpectedly Friday, November 11, 2022 at Mercy Medical Center. He was born April 29, 1934, in Massillon, the son of Paul and Marcella Tennis. He was a graduate of Washington High School and the University of Cincinnati. Paul was a retired architect. He was a member of St. George Romanian Orthodox Church in Canton, where he was a Sunday School Teacher and the church council.  He loved watching NASCAR and cruising in his red convertible Camaro. Paul is survived by daughter, Mary (Brian) Russo; grandson, Brandon; brother, Ralph Tennis; nephews, Tim, Jim (Jessie), John (Nikki); niece, Renee. He was preceded in death by his wife, Margaret (Dumitru) Tennis; daughter, Melissa Ann Tennis; and sister-in-law, Helen Zovath. Funeral service will be held on Friday, November 18, 2022 at St. George Romanian Orthodox Church, 144 30th St NW, Canton, at 11 AM with Very Rev. Fr. Dan Palanceanu officiating. Visitation will be held an hour prior to the service at the church from 10 AM to 11 AM. Burial to follow the service at Sunset Hills Burial Park in Canton.
