Pearl I. Maurer, age 97, passed away on Thursday, June 12, 2014 at Meadow Wind Health Care Center following a lengthy illness.

She was a life resident of Massillon,  born May 2, 1917, the daughter of Emerson and Mary (Graber) Kisner.

Pearl formerly belonged to St. Johns UCC and was superintendent of Sunday School for 50 years and a current member of Faith Community Fellowship.  She was a beautician and had worked at Rita Herman's Beauty Shop.

Pearl is survived by her daughter and son-in-law Deline M. and William Amos of Navarre, four grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Delmar W. Maurer who died March 14, 2003, sisters Ruth Knobb and Gladys Buck, and brother John Kisner.

Visitation will be held  on Sunday, June 15, 2014 at Heitger Funeral Home - Massillon Chapel from 5 to 7 P.M.

Funeral service will be on Monday, June 16, 2014 at 11 A.M. at Faith Community Fellowship, 1303 - 9th St. S.W., Massillon, with Rev. Michael Kager officiating.
