Obituary

Perry Lee Hyde, age 69, of North Canton, Ohio, passed away peacefully surrounded by family on Saturday, November 21, 2015. He was born in Parkersburg, West Virginia. Perry graduated in 1964 from Northwest High School. He retired from the Hoover Company in 2003 after 35 years. Perry loved to golf with his wife Jeannette and his old Hoover friends. He loved watching college basketball especially his beloved Duke (Dukies) and his Green Bay Packers (Cheeseheads) football team. He loved traveling with his Grand Canyon group of friends. One of his favorite sayings was There is no such thing as a stranger; only friends I haven't met! He loved to talk and had a great sense of humor.   Perry enjoyed watching his grandchildren participate in school activities and sporting events.


Perry is survived by his wife of 30 years, Jeannette (Krempel), son Scott (Denise) Hyde, step-sons Greg (Debbie) Cook, George (Amy) Cook, and grandchildren Benjamin, Olivia, William, Abigail, Thomas, Farah and Garret, his brothers Fred (Hilda) Hyde, Rick (Cheryl) Hyde, sisters Gail (Greg) Moore and Sandra.


He was preceded in death by his parents Ralph and Alice (Richards) Hyde, and infant grandson George Cook III.


We would like to thank Dr. Simon, Morningstar Oncology, especially Dr. Vemulapalli and her staff for all their great care and compassion for their patients. Also, Aultman Radiology and Dr. Cheng and her staff for all their good care. Thank you to the Compassionate Care Center for their care and comfort. The family would also like to thank friends and neighbors for their personal visits, cards, flowers, food and prayers during Perry's illness and now.


Perry's wishes are to be cremated. There are no calling hours. Private services will be held at the convenience of the family.
