Richard A. Papay, age 57, of North Canton, and formerly of Canal Fulton, passed away Sunday, March 12, 2023 at Mercy Medical Center surrounded by his family. He was born December 6, 1965 in Farrell, PA, son of the late Frank L. and Lois M. (Gunther) Papay. Rick graduated from Kent State University, Magna Cum Laude. He enjoyed pin ball, fishing, going to the ocean, motorcycles, cooking, music and spending time with his family. Rick is survived by his son Ricky A. Papay; daughter Bailey M. Papay; brother, Frank Papay; sister, Kim (Richard) Ryland; nephews, Adam, Frankie and Nick. Funeral service will be held on Wednesday, March 15, 2023 at 11 A.M. at Heitger Funeral Home - Jackson Chapel.  Calling hours will be held at the funeral home prior to the service from 10 A.M. to 11 A.M. His final place of rest will be Sunset Hills Burial Park in Canton. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to St. Jude's Children Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN  38105-9959.
