Richard O. "Dick" Eggenschwiler, age 88, of Massillon, died Saturday, September 20, 2014 at Shady Lawn Health Care Community.

He was born in Canton, August 3, 1926, the son of the late Elmer P. and Amelea (Feucht) Eggenschwiler.

Dick was a manager for Lawsons and for Jeannie and Dicks Flowers in Louisville.

He was a veteran of WWII where he served in the Navy.

Dick is survived by his wife Anna M. (Wazlavek) Eggenschwiler whom he married June 25, 1994, son Rick Eggenschwiler of Texas, daughters Martha (Tom) Crowder, Nancy Michael, Renee Eggenschwiler and Sherry Eggenschwiler all of Canton, step-children Linda (David) Vogelsong of Navarre, Pam Baiz of Toledo, Pat (Steve) Miller of Massillon, Tim (Maggie) McKinney of Columbus and Terry (Patty) McKinney of Massillon, 20 grandchildren, 32 great-grandchildren and 7 great-great-grandchildren, and beloved dog, Coco.

Visitation will be held Monday, September, 22 at Heitger Funeral Home Massillon Chapel 639 First St NE from 6pm to 8pm.

Graveside services will be held at Sacred Heart Of Mary Cemetery, 8900 Columbus Rd NE, Louisville, OH 44641 at 11AM on Tuesday Sept. 23, 2014.
