Richard "Dick" L. Singer Sr., age 74 of North Lawrence, passed away on Wednesday, April 16, 2014 in the comfort of his home with his family at his side.

He was born February 21, 1940 in Massillon and was the son of the late Harold and Dorothy (Swonger) Singer.

Dick was a member of Sons and Daughters of Herman, loved his grandchildren, tinkering with old cars and tractors and  enjoyed his St. Bernards and goats.

He is survived by sons Richard Singer Jr. of North Lawrence, Daniel Singer of South Carolina, Dennis (Pamela) Singer of North Lawrence, daughters Dorothy (Tim) Tabellion of North Lawrence, Ruthanne (Mark) Etter of South Carolina, brother Donald (Shirley) Singer of Masillon, sister Donna Allman of Navarre, ten grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife Marilyn (Wazlavek) Singer who died Sept. 14, 2010 and great-granddaughter Samantha Kate Tabellion.

Funeral service will be held on Saturday, April 19, 2014 at 12 Noon at Heitger Funeral Home - Massillon Chapel, 639 First St. N.E., Massillon.  Burial will follow at Newmans Creek Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 10 to Noon at the funeral home prior to the service.
