Richard Lee 'Dick' Morton age 74, of Jackson Township passed away on Sunday, Sept 2, 2012 after a short battle with cancer. Dick was born December 3, 1937 in Lawrence Twp., Ohio.

Dick was an avid gardener, Mr. Fix-It who could fix or build anything. He was a dedicated husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather and friend.

A 1956 graduate of Jackson Memorial High School and a retiree of the Timken Company after 32 years of service.

Preceded in death by his parents Foster B. and Orpha (Graybill) Morton,two brothers,Raymond and Robert Morton and a sister Wanda Brenner.

He is survived by his wife of 52 years, Vernice, two daughters Debbie (Brett) Phillabaum, Pam Morton, son Richard II (Tara) Morton, granddaughters Stephanie, Kati, Jessi, Maegan and Amanda, and great-grandson Zayne, a sister Donna Hoover and Many nieces, nephews and friends.

Family will receive friends on Tuesday, September 4, 2012 from 5 to 8 P.M. at Heitger Funeral Home - Jackson Chapel, 5850 Wales Ave. Massillon.

Funeral service will be held on Wednesday, Sept. 5, 2012 at 10 A.M. at Heitger Funeral Home - Jackson Chapel with Pastor Lynn Williamson officiating. Burial will follow at Sunset Memory Gardens.
