Richard T. Russ, age 72 of Massillon, passed away Thursday, November 18, 2021. He was born May 9, 1949, in Warren, Ohio, the son of the late Richard and Ann Russ. Richard retired from Union Drawn Steel after 30 years of service. He was a very hard worker, but always placed his family first.  In his free time he loved spending time with his family, watching sports, going on vacations, and cars.  He was an avid Massillon Tiger, Ohio State Buckeye, and Cleveland sports fan and loved talking about the games. Richard is survived by his wife of 36 years, Paula (Munoz) Russ of Massillon, son and daughter-in-law, Michael and Emily Russ of Tipp City, Ohio, daughter and son-in-law, Stacy and Gregory Schrank of Bath, Ohio, grandchildren, Hudson, Gavin, and Hadley Russ, and brothers, Dennis (Beth) Russ and Alan Russ. He was a member of Fraternal Order of Eagles Aerie #190, Sons and Daughters of Herman, and American Legion Club Post #221. The family will receive friends and family on Sunday, November 21, 2021 at Heitger Funeral Home - Jackson Chapel, 5850 Wales Ave. N.W., Massillon from 2 P.M. to 4 P.M. Burial will be private.
