Robert L. Barton, age 86 of Massillon passed away on Tuesday August 14, 2012.

He was born on February 6, 1926 in Massillon and was a life resident of Massillon.

Bob retired from Iron City Sash and Door.

He was an active member of St. Barbara Catholic Church, board of directors for The Massillon Boys and Girls Club, volunteered with Habitat for Humanity; he donated to many charitable organizations, and was a member of the Stark County Gem and Mineral Club.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Frances Quinn-Barton and sister, Dorothy Quinn.

Bob is survived by numerous close friends and extended family and will be greatly missed.

Visitation will be held on Friday, August 17, 2012 at Heitger Funeral Service - Massillon Chapel, 639 First St NE, from 5pm-7pm, with a prayer vigil service at 4:45pm.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday, August 18, 2012 at St. Barbara Catholic Church at 10am with Rev. Thomas Cebula celebrant.

Burial will follow at St. Joseph Cemetery in Massillon.
