Robert Dean Brown Sr, age 84 of Massillon, died Friday, March 20, 2015 at Aultman Hospital.

He was born June 3, 1930 in Massillon, the son of the late Alvin Ross and Mary Alice (Baumgardner) Brown.

Bob was an Army veteran serving during the Korean Conflict.

He retired from Republic Steel after 31 years of service.
He loved spending time with his children and grandchildren.

Bob is survived by his children, Robert (Debra) Brown Jr. of West Salem, Deirdre (Charles) Margulis of Massillon; brother, Thomas Brown of Canton; sisters, Betty Jean Mitchell of Navarre, Bonnie Nolan of Massillon, Linda Sills of Canton, Grace Malson of North Carolina; 12 grandchildren, 26 great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandchild.

In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by his sons, Ronald Ross Brown (2001), Jerry Woutat (2013) ; nephew, Charles Dean Brown; sister, Evelyn Mae Brown; brothers, Charles W. Brown and Alvin Brown.

Visitation will be held Monday, March 23 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Heitger Funeral Home - Massillon Chapel, 639 First St NE.

Funeral Service will be held on Tuesday, March 24, 2015 at Heitger Funeral Home Massillon Chapel, at 11:00 AM.

Burial to follow at Rose Hill Memorial Gardens, Massillon with military honors.
