Robert L. Eckroate, age 79 a life resident of Massillon, passed away Monday, November 13, 2017.
He was born February 18, 1938, son of the late LeRoy and Marian Eckroate.  Bob was a graduate of Central Catholic High School class of 1956.  He was a veteran of the United States Army.
Bob retired from Timken  Company after 35 years of service.
He was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church and K of C Council #554 3rd Degree.  He was a member of Eagles #190 where he held many officer positions.
Bob is survived by daughter & son-in-law, Suzanne and Steve Leugers of Strongsville; sister and brother-in-law, Marilyn and Edward Zahurak of University Heights and many nieces, nephews and great-nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother William Eckroate.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday, November 18, 2017 at 9:30 A.M. at St. Mary's Catholic Church, 206 Cherry Road N.E., Massillon with Fr. Edward Gretchko celebrant.
Calling hours will be held on Friday, November 17, 2017 from  4 to 8 P.M. at Heitger Funeral Home - Massillon Chapel.
Burial to follow the service at St. Mary Cemetery.
