Robert J. Kohlmeier, age 95 formerly of Massillon passed away on June 13, 2022 at his residence in Fort Myers, Florida.

He was born March 17, 1927 in Massillon, the son of the late John Kohlmeier and Miriam Schafer.

Robert was a Navy veteran serving during WWII.

He was a farmer and retired as Superintendent of Stark County Sewer Department.

Robert was a former member of National Farmers Organization and Local Farmers Union.

He is survived by his children, Virginia Kohlmeier, Robert (Carmen) Kohlmeier II, Lori (Chuck) Sampsel, Martha (Richard) Graber, Jacqueline (Brian) Selinsky; John "Frank" (Desiree) Kohlmeier, Tina (Glen) Skinner, Steve (Amy) Kohlmeier, Jane (Mike) Graber; 20 grandchildren; 35 great-grandchildren; brother, Buddy (Diane) Schafer.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Lorraine Kohlmeier; daughters, Linda Kohlmeier, Kathy Miller, and Dorothy Sandmeyer; siblings, Dorothy Cox, Terry Schafer, and Elaine Young; grandson, Dustin Skinner.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Tuesday, June 21, 2022 at St. Mary Catholic Church in Massillon at 11:30 AM with Rev. Edward Gretchko celebrant.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, June 21 at Heitger Funeral Home - Jackson Chapel, 5850 Wales Ave NW, from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM.

Burial to follow the service at Calvary Cemetery in Massillon with military honors.
