Robert Lee Mowder, age 77 of Canton, died Tuesday, March 29, 2016 at Mercy Medical Center.
He was born September 12, 1938, in Canton the son of the late Lee Everett and Madeline F. (Mayberry) Mowder.
He was a veteran serving in the Airforce.
Robert had a 30 year long career as an air researcher in Phoenix and Singapore, he retired in 1994 and continued to work for Adams Signs in Massillon retiring in 2008.
He was a member of Masons #57 in Phoenix and he enjoyed bowling.
Robert is survived by his wife, Maureen (DeSilva) Mowder; daughter, Paula Mowder (Tim Green) in Tenn.; son, Josh Mowder of Canton; sister, Jean Braun of Massillon; two brothers, Jack Richard Mowder of New Mexico, and Thomas Ray (Ann) Mowder of Louisville; one grandson, Timothy Mowder-Green and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by son, Robert Mowder (2010).
Visitation will be held Friday, April 1, 2106 at Heitger Funeral Home - Massillon Chapel, 639 First St NE from 5pm to 6pm.
A memorial service will follow at 6pm.
