Robert M. Sampsel, age 64, of Massillon, passed away Thursday, April 8, 2021 surrounded by his loving family. He was born December 6, 1956, in Massillon the son of  the late Arden and Shirley (Sliffe) Sampsel. Robert was a veteran of the U.S. Airforce and had been a military policeman at Norad, Colorado Springs. Robert was a policeman for the Massillon Police Department for over 25 years. He enjoyed riding his motorcycle and golfing.  He was an avid Ohio State Buckeye fan and Cleveland Browns fan. Robert is survived by his wife of 39 years, Barb (Warfield) Sampsel; daughter, Amanda (Justin) McCreery and daughter Olivia Sampsel and her fiance' Eric Lukens; brothers, Chip Sampsel, Don (Jackie) Sampsel; sister, Lori (Rusty) Steiner; grandsons, Noah McCreery and Gavin Sampsel and Leonardo Lukens. A private service will be held at the convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Stark County Humane Society, P. O. Box 7077  Canton, Ohio  44705.
